              Four of us went to Hula Grill for lunch on Dec 2nd. We had the premium Mai Tais (delicious) and two yummy appetizers, calamari and ribs. They were amazing. We each ordered separate meal and they were outstanding. Pineapple upside down cake was dense and delicious. Five stars for food and service!

              Disappointing Experience at Hula Grill We had high hopes for Hula Grill given its reputation, location, and prices, but the experience was a complete letdown. The food was far below expectations, starting with the signature mahi mahi, which was either badly overcooked or left sitting on a warming plate for way too long. The Thanksgiving meal was also a disaster—how does a restaurant mess up mashed potatoes? Even my kids, who usually enjoy dining out, couldn’t find anything to like about their meals. For the prices Hula Grill charges, we expected so much more. I’ve honestly had better fish from a food truck. The only saving grace of the night was our waitress, who was kind and attentive, but even great service couldn’t make up for the terrible food. Overall, we left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. This was not the special dining experience we had hoped for, and we won’t be returning.

              We had Thanksgiving at the Hula Grill five years ago. The meal then was perfect. But this year they did not carve a turkey it seemed to be a roll of turkey. It was tough and dry. The stuffing was good. The Yukon mashed potatoes were really good, and the gravy was good as well, but we were all very disappointed with the turkey. I don’t know why they changed the way they made their meal, but it just made the experience disappointing.
