Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over 20 years after owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo set out to open the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. Great service, shrimp cocktail was amazing, Gold Coast sliders very good but the fries on the side VERY greasy. Cocktails also very good.

It is always pretty loud, but this time was over the top. We had a business meeting and the table behind us was screaming the entire time. To the point we almost had to say something. We could not conduct all of our business because we could not hear.

We went to Hugo Frog’s prior to the Andrea Bocelli concert. Food was well prepared and delicious. Our waiter, Sal, was top notch and his recommendations were amazing. Definitely would recommend him to enhance your dining experience. One dessert was enough for 3-4 people.

Hugo’s continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Chicago area. Our dinners last night were wonderful. We ate there before going to the Andrea Bocelli concert in Rosemont - so we ate at the Des Plains Hugo restaurant. I have been to all 3 of the Chicago restaurants and this one was just as delicious as the other two. Our meals were yummy and the service was excellent! Thank you Hugo’s 🤓👍👏!!
