    It's been awhile since we've eaten at Higgins. In the past, we've had excellent meals. Hopefully, last night was just one bad night. Two of us had the special stuffed sole with sticky rice and broccoli. The entire meal was dry, lacking in flavor, and luke warm. It was like it sat in the oven warming way too long and lost any heat and moisture.

    We had not been to the bar at Higgins for several years and were happy to find that nothing had changed. Casual atmosphere, great food and wonderful service. What has changed is that they now accept and encourage reservations in the bar which made getting a good table much easier.

    So delicious. A real treat. Razor clams and halibut were excellent. Dessert of bundt cake with quince was fantastic!

    The people at Higgins Bar are great! It's a wonderful setting and the food is always very good. They always have an interesting menu that is always changing.

    Higgins is always top drawer. If you want to visit, go for the main dining room as the bar is din level ... as a bar should be.
