   We chose Haywood’s for our Valentine’s date dinner. Never been before. It was nice atmosphere from the historic building to the piano playing in the front room . A very good selection on the menu , seafood, steaks, etc. Nicely prepared . Thought it was odd only some wines were available per glass as others only bottle . Service was attentive and quick . Thanks for making it a great Valentine’s experience.

   The dimly lit dining room set a warm atmosphere along with the gentle piano music in the background. We began with a cup of hot cappuccino and great conversation. We moved to a crab cocktail with a little spice and a burst of flavor. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and tender. The asparagus and potatoes au gratin was exquisite. The service staff was orchestrated with excellence and accommodated our needs. We will definitely return soon as we enjoyed a fabulous dining experience.

   We were staying at The Georges, so decided to give their in-house restaurant a try. Delighted we did! Very intimate setting with a wonderful piano player to add to the ambiance. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Drinks - a Manhattan and an Aviation - were well crafted. We had a crab cocktail and a ceviche for appetizers. Both were fresh and tasty. Entrees of a ribeye and a filet were so tender we used our regular knives - no need for a steak knife. Would definitely recommend!

   The appetizer was very good, the rest of the meal was marginal. Very disappointing considering the cost. I will need go there in the future.

   Food was great, ambience was great and our server friendly and efficient. There was no piano playing and so conversation was easy. We made a 40 minute drive to dine there and will do so again.

   We had a great meal, in a nice environment and cool restaurant. The service was a little slow, but still polite. I would recommend it, but you need to make sure you have some extra time.

    We have visited Haywood's many times, and know that a reservation is a must. We arrived at our reservation time, but the host advised that our table was not ready, as the prior party was lingering. We sat at the bar waiting on our table. As the time passed, we received no update until half an hour past our seating time, saying that they were getting our table ready. Another 15 minutes passed before we were seated, and then it was another 15 before we were offered water. Our server took her time getting our orders and at the end of the meal we had to wait quite a while to get our check, although the restaurant had significantly emptied by then. On the plus side, our food came out quickly and was perfectly prepared and delicious. Other than the initial apology from the host, there were no other attempts made to rectify the situation. I understand that it's difficult to ask guests who overstay their welcome to leave, but also Haywood's reservation policy is clearly stated on the website, and I would've expected some level of expeditiousness or other apologetic actions given the restaurant's reputation as the top fine dining establishment in Lexington.
