Came here for a special NYE dinner. They were very accommodating for a shellfish allergy which was nice. Service was great but the food was lacking. Some of it was fine but many of our dishes were cold. My husband had the cauliflower leak soup and it was cold, below room temperature. Same with his cod entree. My steak entree was room temperature. Maybe because it was such a busy session but pretty disappointing when you pay so much for a dinner. Also was weird that no champagne was even offered even though that was part of the fixed menu for the adults. Yet other tables were getting champagne.

Grouse Mountain Grill is one of our favorites on the mountain, off the beaten path. NYE celebration with a preset 5 course menu. The food was wonderful! For our mains, we had New York Mishima reserve, a Colorado raised wagyu steak, and Alaskan black cod. Everything was prepared to perfection. The service was excellent, our server, Chelsea, was personable and very knowledgeable. GMG provided New Years hats for every guest. It was fun to see nearly everyone wearing them! There was a great energy in the room and the live music made it a perfect evening.

This was the only restaurant in Beaver Creek that we did not love. We arrived a little late due to the shuttle adding extra stops. The hostess was rude, telling us that we needed to be done and out at a certain time which added stress to all of our groups entire meal time. I think she could have just communicated that to our server instead of talking to us the way that she did. Our server on the other hand was really great in every way.

Our experience, unfortunately, began on a negative note with the hostess, who appeared visibly displeased when we arrived with a service dog. She asked for proof of the dog's certification, which we provided, though it's important to note that it is against the law to request such documentation for service animals. To add insult to injury, she informed us that the next party for our table was arriving at 7:30 PM. However, at 7:30, there were at least three empty tables in the immediate area where we were seated. When we asked our waitress, out of courtesy, if we could still order dessert, she seemed surprised by the request and responded, 'Of course, why not?' The hostess clearly needs both proper training in service animal laws and an attitude adjustment. That said, the rest of our experience was far more pleasant—delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a wonderful, attentive waitress who truly made up for the initial negative impression.

We’ve been coming to GMG for years and the food has always been excellent except for tonight. The pasta was over cooked and tasteless, the pork chops were tough and fatty and the salmon was nearly raw. Having said that, the tater tots and lobster marscapone appetizers were wonderful. Not sure what the problem was in the kitchen, but tonight GMG was really off their game.
