Gjelina is a restaurant specializing in New American cuisine. Open every day from 8 a.m. until 11pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, try 9 grain pancakes with butter and maple syrup or warm banana buckwheat loaf with butter and jam of the day. Brunch options include Moroccan baked eggs and 7 grain porridge. Gjelina offers a variety of oysters, crudo, charcuterie and salad options to start at lunch and dinner. Main courses include pizzas from our wood fired oven and entrees like duck confit, house made pastas and roasted organic half chicken.

Gjelina never disappoints - our poached eggs with chorizo and grits, as well as the lamb burger, were spot-on. The service was impeccable. And the woodsmoke smell from the outdoor firepit was lovely....

A gem in LA that has now finally opened in NYC. Breath of fresh air. Lovely staff, gorgeous space, truly excellent food. What else could one ask for except possibly a table every day.

The best place for a nice birthday lunch! The salads are fantastic, and the pizza is outstanding. I often get the pizzas to go, but it is a great sit down lunch. We shared a few salads, a pizza and the broccolini and that was plenty for 3 people.

We had a wonderful dinner (business meeting). Fortunately, we were able to get a table in the back as the noise in the front room was loud (ok LOUD). The food was delicious, the service was superb and the ambiance was nice. The restaurant was jammed on a Wednesday night. That in and of itself is a positive review.
