Floriana offers authentic Italian recipes with handmade pastas in the most comfortable of environments. Located in DC's Dupont Circle neighborhood, in a historic brick stone row house that has been converted into a cozy restaurant, but hasn't given up the feel of coming over to someones home for dinner. Offering a seasonal menu of fresh and local ingredients Floriana has developed a reputation for consistent, high quality, authentic, feel good dishes at a great value.                                                                                 The lasagna was just ok - doesn’t have Ricotta cheese and was not the norm. The lamb gnocchi was really good however the Sunday Gravy was delicious. Tiramisu was delicious and the pistachio gelato was viewed differently by the table.

                                                                                5 course Prix Fix Valentines menu. Everything was on point. Mascarpone bruschetta, mushroom soup, short rib ragu pasta, branzino, finished off with a chocolate temptation and a nice bottle of wine. Service was excellent, area is cute, dining is on the main floor of an old house. Very nice.

                                                                                My husband is a classically trained chef and even he praised the tastiness of Floriana’s food. All of it: appetizers, salad, mains, and yes especially dessert. Bravo.

                                                                                We had a wonderful dinner with friends who were in from out of town. Delicious, refined Italian food that hit the perfect balance between comfort and something special. We'll definitely be back!
