   This was my second time at Fire & Oak and it was even more delicious than the first time we went. Food came out so fast, our server was so nice and I was so excited to return. Will definitely be going back as often as I can!

   We sat in the main dining room this time. Lots of families, kids, noise. We were only 6 people but it was a small reunion for our cousins. Our waiter Oliver was fairly patient…. as we passed the second hour a waitress came up and, in an impatient and abrupt voice, interrupted our conversation to ask if we wanted desert. We definitely stayed longer than the post-Covid restrictions call for but I don’t find that to be as relevant as they would like us to believe. The calamari and meatball apps were delicious. The burger, salmon, ribs, chicken caesar with chicken and swordfish were all cooked nicely and very tasty. We’ll be back and would recommend Fire & Oak to friends and family.

   The staff is great and probably the high point of the restaurant. Food is uneven and expensive for the quality. Drinks were ok. The restaurant is pretty. I would give this place another chance because of the welcoming staff.

   Beautiful ambiance. Minestrone was hearty and satisfying. Especially enjoyed the pasta with chicken paired with spinach.

   Very nice atmosphere and waitress did not rush and was very polite and upbeat. The food was average. I had the half-roasted chicken, which was dry. My friend had the Margarita pizza which was doughy, not crispy. The menu had many choices.

   My dining experience was fantastic! I have visited Fire and Oak in Jersey City but the one in Montvale is now deemed my favorite. The service was attentive from the hostess to the waiter, and our food was brought out promptly. There was a nice selection of entrées and the cocktails did not disappoint. This restaurant has a great bar atmosphere whether dining alone or with a group. The food could’ve been a little more seasoned, but it was still delicious. I can’t wait to return.

    Ribs and hanger steak were delicious. So was the Cesar salad that we shared. Took a bit longer than normal for our food to come. Service was very good.
