Second visit in recent weeks, this time, in the evening in a group of 4. The service and ambience were good, from the pre-meal drinks at the bar to our seating in the restaurant. Good atmosphere, people enjoying themselves, including us. Food was fresh and overall, okay. Would go back.

We asked to have Pizza from the Pizzeria upstairs (which have done plenty of times before) and while our hosts obliged, the service starting getting very curt from there on out. It seemed as though we were rushed through so as to get rid of us which made for a somewhat unpleasant experience, something I am not normally used to from Fino’s.

Fino's has a great ambience. Food is pretty average. We had fried calamari, zuchini, pasta cabonara `all of which were particularly fatty and greasy and a pasta ali olio which was good but very heavy on the garlic and chilli. My main reason for writing a review is the waiters definitely gave off the impression they would have prefered to be elsewhere rather than serving customers. THeir manner was brusk verging on rude.

Arrived, to find a dictions event, nobody seem to care that I had booked a table, or even bothered to let me know there was an event. I didn’t stay to find out about the food.

I had booked a table for myself and five colleagues but we didnt want a main meal. Was welcomed by a lovely member of staff who had previously worked at North Row (apologies for not taking his name) and after explaining situation he very kindly found us a nice snug area at the back of the bar. Was like having our own private dining area. Very friendly and polite staff. Will definitely be returning.

Good restaurant with good food. It has a room at the back which is relatively quiet which is great for conversationalists. A solid 4 stars.
