Best Live Music Restaurants in The Grove

Good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere. Live music was too loud.

Great date night. I had the roast chicken. David had the mussels. We shared a salad. Everything was perfectly cooked and the service was great.

We were seated right away and then realized there was seating on the patio and that’s where the band was going to play so we asked to be moved. They accommodated our group with no problem. We had front row seats for the performance and our food was delicious. It’s a great place for people of all kinds and ages. The food is a bit pricey but most of it is seafood or such.

This place is an absolute vibe. The music, the food, and omg the drinks. Our server ‘Nyah’ gave us amazing customer service from the suggestions to physically running my phone to me after I abandoned it. (Them mimosa flights will make you forget and remember all kinds of stuff!) Celebrations, girls day, or just Sunday brunch, this is where you want to be!

This weekend evening at dinner time when the local baseball game was on-going should have provided personalized and individualized care. However, with one bartender and one server (I so no food runner or assistants or managers either) the service was slow. When it happened, the server was marginal but the bartender, Toni, was absolutely fabulous! She not only made you feel welcome and appreciated, she made the BEST Paper Plane in the Universe! The mix of doos that we selected was well presented and tasty. The menu however is very small and Pennydrop is more of an upscale bar with a small bar menu as opposed to a full service restaurant with an amazing bar. When the baseball game finished and a crowd from the game flowed in, the service slowed even further and lines at the bar were much longer. With a few more staff members, the experience would have been maximized. Regardless of this, I will be back for my next Paper Plane before I head out of town.
