Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. Located on the Southeast corner of South Clinton Avenue and Linden Place, the Linwood Hotel temporarily housed WW1 Navy flyers from the Bay Shore Aero Station while their barracks were being constructed. The Linwood was destroyed by fire on October 11, 1925.

    The service was excellent. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. The bus boy was on top of everything. When we asked for something there was no waiting. Probably the best service I’ve had in all the times I’ve been there. Very happy

    We joined some friends at Roadtrip last night- the first time for all of us. We were instantly impressed by the varied and imaginative menu! So much fun and difficult to choose between the many interesting choices. I and my female friend went with the Brussels sprouts for the app…terrific. The guys shared the bacon in Vermont maple syrup- also delectable. Three of us chose entrees from that week’s Wyoming menu (the chicken with lavender honey and the bison meatloaf) and my husband chose the ribs off the regular menu. We were all so amazed by the flavors and presentation and vowed to go back. This is a wonderful new venture and bonus for area diners! Kudos!
