- DDavidvipNew York City •22 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe love Parker’s and have eaten there several times. The atmosphere is of an old country home. It has a separate bar area which is noisy but the main dining area is comfortable. Tables have adequate spacing and you can converse with each other Drinks are strong and fairly priced. Rather than a martini last night my wife had an Arnold Palmer for $4.50. T We had a delicious huge Pear Salad with sliced pears, soft cheese, nuts and we couldn’t finish it eating it together. I generally have the lobster bisque which has best flavor consistency and taste My wife had the Scallops delicious and substantial We took home the remainder I had the whitefish cut thin and served on cedar plank with whipped mashed potatoes.. not just mashed but really whipped with the greenest sautéed spinach. Dessert we shared a caramel budino with chocolate crumbs whipped cream. For $1 more we take the jar and lid home with us The cost was $129.77 and tip. Normal taxes only. No extra fees for inside staff and we tip more as a result Restaurant has Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary desert plates prepared The service staff have a lot of tables but cover them well without appearing rushed. Mariana A was our server. A service and restaurant manager, beverage manager, reservations manager very very busy. Parker’s is well run and for us both elegant and joyous.More infoParkers' Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downers Grove•4.7
- TTracySan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLoved the candlelight dinner experience although a couple by us kept their menu open the entire meal so they had “additional light” which was blaring in our eyes all through our meal ….. I think someone should have told them this was hurting the ambience for the rest of the patrons around them. Our server was amazing and informative and we enjoyed our time!More infoIVYPrice: Expensive• American• Wheaton•4.6
- KKiavipChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI truly enjoyed myself! When I walked in I was greeted and promptly taken to my table in the bar area where the live band was preparing to start. My server Stasi was both pleasant and knowledgeable, and helped us make winning cocktail and meal selections. I tried both the Golden Hour and 24 carat when visiting earlier in the week. Both were delicious, but I think the Golden Hour is my new drink. If you like a fruity drink with a kick…you won’t be disappointed. We tried the lobster tacos for appetizers and enjoyed them immensely. For entrees we selected the 22oz ribeye, South African lobster tail, scallops, drawn butter lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. The portions were great and the food was memorable. For dessert we ordered the bananas foster which we could not stop eating…delicious! The manager Michael stopped by to ensure we had a great experience which was much appreciated. Overall, based on the stellar service, great food and ambiance…I will frequent this establishment.More infoEddie V's - Oak BrookPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Oakbrook Terrace•4.9
- CChristineChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTook my mom and daughter to the holiday tea. It was our first time. We had a lovely experience. Our server, Patty, was very welcoming and personable. She also made sure my daughter felt part of the experience even though she is only 3 years old. The food and tea were fantastic. My favorite was the salmon tea sandwich - it was so good. We plan to make this an annual tradition for the 3 of us.More infoColonial Room at The Drake Oak BrookPrice: Moderate• American• Oak Brook•4.3
- DDonaldChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined on 19 Nov 2024Nice and pleasant atmosphere. A little pricey, but definitely worth it for the experience. Deserts are spectacular, the chocolate cake blew everyone away. Appetizers were good as well, very different from the occasional selection. Entrées were excellent, full of flavor in nice small portions. Overall, it was a great experience.More infoRedstone American Grill - Oakbrook TerracePrice: Expensive• American• Oak Brook•4.5
