From the moment we stepped inside we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming European-style ambiance that makes us feel welcome. The menu offers a good selection of traditional German dishes, from hearty bratwurst and schnitzel to delicious potato pancakes and freshly baked pretzels. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the ingredients taste fresh and high-quality. We tried the sauerkraut balle and the stroganoff were fantastic! Also, the selection of German beers and specialty drinks added to the experience, making it a great spot for dining. The service was friendly and attentive and ensured a great dining experience. Overall, Café Berlin brings the heart of Germany to DC. Whether you’re a fan of German cuisine or simply looking for a cozy spot with great food and atmosphere, this café is a must-visit.More infoCafe BerlinPrice: Moderate• German• Capitol Hill•4.7

Chef Bart and the team are so welcoming and the food is always good, as is the service. Belga has become our comfort spot, and we love both their regular menu and their special menus (we've celebrated our last three Valentine's Days with them and loved each one). Whether you're looking for a low key date night or a special occasion, definitely recommend checking out this great spot.More infoBelga CafePrice: Moderate• Belgian• Capitol Hill•4.7

- WWilliamWashington, D.C. Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe crab beignets were a surprise in terms of flavor and quality while the soup of the day--apple and butternut squash with a little dribble of spicy oil was very pleasing. We had the salmon with roasted brussels sprouts/mushroom/onions and the lamb bolognese--both were excellent. Service was great with good explanations of menu items, answers to our questions, and timeliness of attending to our table. It's a very casual place and the noise level was moderate though we were early diners though the place filled at dinner as we were leaving. Have already recommended to others and look forward to a return visit especially to try the chicken and waffles or the shrimp and grits.More infoBarrel & CrowPrice: Moderate• American• Bethesda•4.4
