Best Restaurants with Great Beer in Lake Zurich

Cute place in the heart of Wauconda! Other locations in Vernon Hills& Rosemont per our server. Great choice of appetizers to share: ( we had stuffed mushrooms & Nonni’s meatballs) Italian salad, & 2 pizzas: one tomato based the other with white sauce base: both were delicious! They offer sandwiches as well, & gelato in the front of Slyce! We enjoyed our meal, & will be back

This place is fantastic! Don’t let the unassuming old school diner look fool you - food and service here were top notch. Took my bestie here for her first night out since having a baby and although we may not have, this place kept it classy! Our group of 4 arrived, having already imbibed, quite rambunctious and ready to take it further. The server handled us and the situation with grace. Yasmin was kind and patient as she took our order and played it cool when the topic of drinks came up. Without drawing attention, they kept the waters flowing and the fried appetizers coming. The food was a surprise and delight as each dish ordered arrived looking different than any of us had imagined. Potted carrots, frito misto, and the grapes in the ravioli were just a few of the delights. Was it the pre-game, or is this a fun menu? We may never know. That said, they didn’t make a scene when my friend lost her napkin 6x or had red lipstick on her face and hands, or when the new mom pulled the pumps off at the table. If you saw us, no you didn’t. While we eventually redeemed ourselves enough to be allowed 1 round of drinks with our pasta dishes, we left quietly and on our own accord, ensuring Yasmin was given an additional tip on top of the included 25% gratuity. Always love the food. Our server was friendly and very efficient. Great value

Great dining value. Pork belly and cheese curds appetizer simply delicious. The cod was light, not greasy, delicious, good portion size. The star was the pickled coleslaw; wow, simple, light, a perfect contrast to the cod. Try the award winning beer. I’m not a beer drinker but I might be converted. Eric, our server was attentive and quick. Thank you Eric and thank you Tonality. Excellent meal, good value, reasonable.
