Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Bushwick

Our time at BK High Low today was lovely! It was the perfect way to spend a birthday with good friends. We sat in the garden on the coldest day of the year but mostly were cozy beside our frozen toes, which is just the nature of being anywhere in the cold. The tea was delicious and they had such a diverse selection. The scones were fluffy and beautifully textured but we were not impressed with the sandwiches. The desserts were good but we agreed the tea and scones are the best part. I will say that we were a party of 7 outside so we were harder to reach but the service was not outstanding. All in all, I would surely recommend the Grand Vanderbilt at least once for the special experience that full afternoon tea is. It doesn't hurt that the HIgh Low's parlor spaces are so delightful! I will return again for cream tea without the extra food but I am so glad I chose BHL for our get-together:)

My cousin, my daughter and I had the pleasure of being served by Fariz at The Plaza Palm Court, and I cannot say enough good things about him! From the moment we were seated, he was friendly, inviting, and made our entire experience truly memorable. Fariz ensured that we had everything we needed in a timely manner and took the time to thoughtfully explain the menu and all the available options. His attention to detail and warm demeanor made us feel so well cared for throughout our visit. If you're planning a trip to The Plaza, I highly recommend asking for Fariz—you won't be disappointed. He truly elevates the dining experience and leaves a lasting impression!

I have wanted to come to Lady Mendls for some time and today was the day! Yowza was it fabulous. The potato leek soup and the way in which it was presented was memorable. Still thinking about it. The sandwiches were both classic and modern and beautifully arranged. Scones and petit fours capped off the perfect tea. Deeelish! The tea selection and decision was difficult because they all sounded so good. Went with the Wonderland Roobios. So good. The staff is fabulous and attention to detail is both welcomed and impressive. Love the fun decor. Go. You will have a delightful and memorable time.

As a bit of a family tradition, I brought my 2nd daughter here, eleven years after my first! And we were lucky to have our favorite server, #theTroublemaker to help us and make quality suggestions from the menu. Even the persons who served our water and coffee were knowledgeable professionals. I ended up purchasing two bags of gifts from the gift store, because the chocolate and service were of such high quality! The Year of the Snake marketing is clever, and we actually decorate our shelves with Mariebelle tins and containers because the branding is so attractive. Only Chardon Bleu in France comes even close, with Mariebelle as the absolute best in the world. Thank you so much, merci, grazzie, and Gracias for a world class, chocolatier experience!
