A little history on our namesake: The Linwood Hotel: John B. Pullis established the Linwood Hotel in about 1888. Located on the Southeast corner of South Clinton Avenue and Linden Place, the Linwood Hotel temporarily housed WW1 Navy flyers from the Bay Shore Aero Station while their barracks were being constructed. The Linwood was destroyed by fire on October 11, 1925.

Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure.     This is my first time dining here . The decor is whimsical and very pretty . It has an elegant flare without being formal. The service was good . They were very nice and attentive . The food was excellent . For cocktails, the old fashion special was fantastic. Compliments to the Great bartender ! Appetizer - We started with the seasonal three spread . Excellent Entrees - mussels and ribeye steak. Brussels sprouts fries . All were really well presented as much as they were delicious . I will be back soon to try other items in the menu!

    Exceptional dinner. Our server not only knew their stuff but sold every item on the menu. A vast knowledge of the food severed. My drink was never empty. My stomach either. An absolute delight. I’ve never felt a better value for my buck. I wish I could recommend it more than I am now.

    The Lake House was wonderful! The food and wine were delicious and everything arrived to the table in a timely manner, without the feeling of being rushed. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall an amazing experience!
