Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Virginia

Everything was amazing! I had my 50th birthday brunch with my girlfriends there. We all had a magnificent time. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. The food was delicious. The waitress and servers were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the savory crane for birthday celebrations or to meet with friends for a festive meal in RVA!

This was our first time there, and we will definitely make this our home restaurant! It was everything I thought it would be just from the pictures online! From walk in, to walk out it was very professional and the staff was amazingly beautiful! I got proposed to there and it was the perfect place for it to happen! Thank you so for such an amazing experience!!!

Took my long-time friend for Valentine's Day. We have never tried 1870. I made a reservation a month in advance because it was Valentine's Day. We were seated on the second floor, the Jewett Room. They only have four tables in the room so compared to the bar area, it was quiet. We had a table for 4, so for the 2 of us we had plenty of room. My date started with a cocktail, "The Mother of all President's", which was fabulous. The service was terrific, special shout out to our waiter Jacob. The meal was perfectly prepared. We both had the 6 oz filet mignon and it was so flavorful and tender. We shared the sauteed spinach and au gratin potatoes. For dessert, we split the dark chocolate tart, which went well with our bottle of Caymas Cabernet. I highly recommend for a special occasion. We heard they have a great happy hour, so we will definitely return and check it out.

A perfect place to eat when you actually want to hear the table conversation! Lovely ambiance, outstanding service (thank you, Tyler!), fine food. Worth the money. The Jefferson is still the epitome of elegance in Richmond.
