Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Vallozzi's Pittsburgh has recently joined a mere 1,200 restaurants worldwide as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence and is the only Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive such an honor.     This restaurant never disappoints! From the service to the delicious starters, entrees and desserts--dining at Della Terra is a culinary delight! This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the greater Pittsburgh area!

    The service was outstanding. The environment was quiet. The food was excellent. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer and it was very good. We had the scallops and tuna for dinner and both equally delicious. We will be going back soon!

    We had a fabulous meal here on Christmas Eve. The special menu was exceptional and we totally enjoyed both of our meals. The server, Aleah (sp?) was great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Looking forward to returning!

    As always, this restaurant was excellent. The food was hot and tasty. The wait staff and the gauchos are very friendly and welcoming. We always enjoy our meals when we eat here. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anything from a fancy get together or just in the mood to get your fill of the never ending meats.

    My friend and I had the three branches dinner . It was so delicious! Preceded by a glass of champagne. The host told us the story of the restaurant and the property. The server was excellent. We were stuffed so had no room for dessert. The chef was kind enough to wrap it to go. Worth the trip from Ohiopyle!
