Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in South Portland

We come back to David’s every time we visit Portland. The food is fresh and locally sourced. The open scratch kitchen is a pleasure to watch, the chefs all seem to work cohesively together and it reflects in the consistency of the dishes! Do yourself a favor if you’re in a group of 4 or less book the kitchen bar seats so you can watch the culinary magic! Yummmm.

Best meal I’ve had in Portland. Our server was knowledgeable and eager to explain as well as serve. She obviously liked working there which says a lot about a restaurant. The choices were vast, the combination of sauces and ingredients were balanced. The tuna was out of this world, the pasta was perfection and the lamb melted in our mouths. What a neighborhood gem. This is a wonderful restaurant in Portland. It’s an open kitchen restaurant with a cute bar area and cozy tables. Our server was friendly and helped me navigate the GF options on the menu. Nothing is labeled, but lots of options. We started with the deviled eggs, yummy! I hit the seared scallops with risotto was delicious, I wish there were more scallops (just 3), my husband got the burger and said it was really good! We would return!

One of the best servers / service we have had all year. Looked like a good value happy hour at the Bar only. The Pasta dishes were amazing. The pizza was very good, but not as good as the pasta. The bread was also great.
