Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Shaker Square

Food and service outstanding. Calamari appetizer fabulous and more than enough for two people. We shared the sushi grade seared tuna entree and grilled asparagus. Some nice wine complemented our meal, wonderful evening.

For it being Valentine’s Day, all I can say is they really did an amazing job. Not just saying it, but it really was, amazing waiting staff, and quick and execellent food. To see the least it’s a must have when going to little Italy!

Our reservations were for 6PM as we we’re heading to a 7:30 play. We were seated promptly. None of are party had been there before. Our dinner partners had arrived early and enjoyed the bar area, for the pricing, ambience and generous pour. As it was Valentines Day they were busy but had enough staff. Our server, Cole did an exceptional job of explaining the dishes. Two of us had the Salmon dish and recommended salad. Both thought it was one of the best salmon they’ve had. We enjoyed two appetizers, wine the pesto pasta dish, and dessert. All delicious. We had a play subscriptions for 15 years. This in now our go to restaurant in Playhouse Square. Pricing was reasonable. We look forward to breaking bread again with family and friends at the Friar’s Table.

I always have a wonderful dining experience at Batuqui. The cozy atmosphere makes it feel wonderful and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious— flavorful and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the food and service truly stands out. If you're looking for a charming spot with great Brasilian food, I highly recommend Batuqui. Obrigado!

We had the seven vegetable salad and the scallops to start. Scallops, along with all the accoutrements that came with it, were phenomenal. Even the complimentary bread was fantastic, served with hummus. For entrees, we had the duck and the lamb, both were amazing. The skin of the duckbreast was crispy and melted in your mouth, the lamb shank fell off the bone. They were out of the dessert we wanted but the server came up with a solution that accommodated us nicely.
