Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Dunnington

We ordered French onion soup, pork cheek to start which was delicious. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak with truffle and Parmesan fries, onion rings and mac n cheese everything was 10/10 no faults. Steak cooked perfectly. For desert I had the baked Alaska and my partner had sticky toffee pudding both were fantastic! Jonathan our server was amazing too!

We’d seen the restaurant on a Facebook post and that they did the best Steak & Ale pie, we were not disappointed! Cooked fresh taking about thirty minutes to prepare, we already knew this so we had a starter and we hardly noticed the 30 minutes. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and the music was perfect! It was our anniversary so it felt right to have the most amazing food, in such a carefully curated place. You must book ahead (we did), when we arrived, walk ins were being turned away as they were fully booked. York is worth visiting just for this dining experience alone!

Absolutely love this place! Waiter was amazing at his job made mine and my partners experience outstanding very good at his job but didn’t quite catch his name , would definitely recommend!!

Absolutely amazing, the service was the best I’ve ever received & the food was outstanding. Even so the owner came round and chatted to us and every guests, we had a chat about Brazilian footballer Anthony too, will definitely be back, first time there and we dine out 2/3 times weekly but that was superior.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Badger Monday Deal, what great value for money! £14 for a Burger AND a pint of San Miguel, can’t go wrong! I had the Chicken Burger & my friend had the Veggie Bean & Sweet Potato Burger - both AMAZING. Excellent service & ambience too, we love the little Dining Room area at the back. Will definitely return.
