Best Historic Restaurants in St Matthews

We had a wonderful experience at Bourbon’s last night, one of our go to places for a great meal. Everything from the cocktails, to the apps, dinner and desert were all excellent! Our server was also fantastic, just wish I could remember her name! Highly recommend this gem of a place that I hope will be around for many years to come!

The salad, main course, and desert all excellent. I would go back just for the French Toast desert. I had a lobster/pasta main course that was excellent, and the goat cheese salad couldn't be beat. Good service on a very busy Valentine night. Parking is the only problem, so allow a little extra time to find a parking spot on or just off the busy Frankfort Ave., and bring an umbrella if it is raining. Highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions where budget is not a consideration.

My food was absolutely terrific. I was dining with my spouse and my mother-in-law. I had the filet (it was cooked exactly how I wanted), scallops, asparagus, and butter infused risotto. They gave a rose to my mother-in-law, and it made her night. Honest to God, it was the best food I've eaten this year. I loved it. Thank you for making our Valentines a great experience. We'll be back for sure.

Small quaint restaurant with a fabulous menu with a wide selection. Service was better than I’ve had in many restaurants. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet evening out.
