Best Historic Restaurants in San Ramon

Cute place with a great vegan menu. The roared mushroom salad was outstanding. The tofu scramble wasn’t as satisfying: the turmeric made it somewhat bitter while the tofu wasn’t otherwise very flavorful. Service was very warm and friendly, although the one poor server was handling the entire restaurant on her own! Prices are high but quality is promising. Will visit again.

Although it was Thanksgiving we decided to order from the menu, and we have no regrets! Our wonderful waitress recommended I have the lamb chops (stating they were the best thing on the menu)…and they were superb! My husband had the surf and turf, but honestly we would order just the steak next time! We started our meal with the prawn cocktail (fabulous) and the lobster ravioli (too salty for our taste). The food and service was excellent. The appetizers were delicious. We celebrated a birthday there and the staff brought a very special desert with a candle. We never had an empty glass or a delay in service. Staff was very attentive. Will definitely go back.

The Beef Stroganoff is my go dish, and again, it did not disappoint! Tried a new drink… The Godfather, absolutely delicious: bourbon and Disaronno and orange peel… Absolutely flavorful! Try it, you will like it too!

Highly recommend this restaurant! Food was absolutely outstanding! Started with the house salad, spinach salad with a fabulous balsamic dressing and walnuts sprinkled on top. Then had the pappadelle pasta with shrimp. Wonderful creamy pesto sauce. My companion had the lasagna which came in a cute casserole dish. She said it was fabulous! Also, the bread was really fresh, and I liked the fact that oil and vinegar were left in decorative bottles on the table. Great service! Cute ambience. I’ll definitely be back.
