Best Historic Restaurants in North Kingstown

Our party was greeted at the door and promptly seated. Definitely need a reservation here. The layout had a number of floors with small dining rooms on each. The ambiance was cozy - roaring fires, natural holiday decorations, soft lighting. The noise level was moderate - conversations happened easily at normal talking volume. The wine list was extensive, while the beer offerings were lackluster. The menu focuses on New England cuisine with many heavy, warming dishes. We visited during December, so it’s possible they have a different seasonal menu for the warmer months. Our server was attentive, but not annoying.

We always eat here in the Summer months and enjoy it very much. This is the first time eating inside. The restaurant is very cozy and the food was delicious as always.

The staff was extremely helpful. Seated right away. A really nice place. Food was very good. I definitely would come back. A really nice to place to come too.

Our server and other waitstaff were fantastic! We had a leisurely dinner and never felt rushed. Dinner was lovely but dessert was the winner tonight. Decorated beautifully for Christmas…greens, wreaths, so many candles glowing and the twinkly lights everywhere made it feel like a Christmas wonderland (side note) because the lighting is dimmed so can enjoy the decor was a big hard to read the menu at the table Maybe an extra little table lamp would help 10 out of 10 experience The Coast Guard is is consistently at the top of the list. You can always count on a great meal and a great experience with some of the best wait staff in the state.

Lovely little place, fun to go for a special occasion. The staff are friendly & service is good. It's a cute little place - I hope the new (bigger) space they are moving to is just a quaint!
