Best Historic Restaurants in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Candlelight Tea was spectacular! All of the tasty sandwiches and pastries were divine. The ambiance is amazing. The penicillin drink was great! Kinda tastes like a lemon bandaid at first but turns into more lemon mule like to finish. No candles though. I figured since it was a candlelight tea there would be candles ? Steak pie was fantastic. Everything was amazing except the price..lol but that’s to be expected at a place like the prince of wales.

Enjoyed Valentine’s Day dinner at Hob Nob with my husband. He had French Onion soup, beef tenderloin and strawberry shortcake. I had the soup, pistachio crusted halibut and chocolate truffle cake. Everything was delicious! Ashley was our server and was exceptional. The entire team was friendly and helpful. The ambience was warm and inviting. This was our first time, but we will definitely be back!

This was a romantic evening for us and the dinner did not disappoint, great table and excellent service from Victoria. We enjoyed the food, well prepared and excellent presentation. We would definitely recommend.

For our ninth Valentine's Day dining pleasure at the Cannery Restaurant, we were greeted with wonderful red roses and a spectacular pair for our specific table as well all arranged by my loving and might I say romantic too Wife . Sure we mulled over the entire dinner menu, trying again as we always do ... just what to have. So this time we had a Manhattan and Cosmos cocktail. I have had a Manhattan in Manhattan, but the Cannery one was even better . We decided on the one hundred dollar Valentine's Day special and we were not disappointed. All the servings were Chef quality and in particular the Mushroom Wellington was superb and it should go on the permanent menu. The Chateaubriand was out of this world with tasting pleasure .... ordered medium Rare . Of course the dessert was another winner from the kitchen , which by the way never ceases to amaze us with the quality of good food forthcoming . Our wine was Italian Pinot Grigio, and worked effortlessly with our dining . The Servers , and once again we were delighted to have Melanie at our table , along with a delightful Blonde Lady . And even though it was busy for the servers , Derek managed to wend his way over to our table .23, and greet us which just made our day more complete. KLB

Friendly, efficient service. The appetizer was very good. As a main, ordered the tandoori salmon which came with mint rice and mango salad. The salmon was good. The rice was good but cold. The mango salad was more of a garnish and contained no mango. Maybe it was in the dressing but we couldn’t taste it. A bit expensive for what we got.
