- CC.New York City •13 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe weekend wine dinner included Prosecco or martini while you’re waiting for the table which was a nice touch. The food was outstanding and our waiter Sam was delightful with stories of serving many famous people over the last 25+ years. It was an enjoyable dining experience.More infoSmith & Wollensky - New YorkPrice: Expensive• American• Midtown East•4.6
- JjaneNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.More infoMacArthur's Restaurant at The Historic Thayer HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• West Point•3.7
- JjohnvipNew York City •32 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoToday, a colleague and I enjoyed our 25th ? (there about) annual holiday lunch in the Saloon at the Oyster Bar. As always, we split a dozen of the tastiest oysters you can find and followed with a splendid piece of fish. He enjoyed a perfectly prepared Monk Fish and I a most wonderfully grilled Bronzino with the consistently delicious vegetable medley. We don't go for value (hard to find at $35+ for a standard lunch entree) but for a scrumptious meal, wonderful ambiance, attentive wait staff and our annual chat.More infoGrand Central Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Midtown East•4.2

Cozy and festive decor paired with impeccable service and delectable food makes this a “must try” for anyone looking to soak in the magic that is Christmas in New York! I highly recommend the honey roasted fig appetizer and the pan seared scallop entree.More infoTavern on the GreenPrice: Expensive• American• Midtown West•4.7
