Best Historic Restaurants in Huntingdon Valley

We were seated in the Fireplace Room as requested in our reservation. Waiter was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food continues to be well prepared. During the winter you do need to dress warmly.

The mashed potatoes were a bit too salty, but otherwise, the meal was excellent. Our server, Conor, took great care of our table. This is a great place for special occasions. I would also recommend the Pineville Tavern for a regular meal. By the way, the side dishes on the Christmas menu were mostly potatoes. This may have been the best way to handle holiday dinners. Mia famiglia e Io siamo venuti qui per cena e tutto era Molto BUONO. Molto autentico. DELIZIOSO. Moreover, my server (she had beautiful dark hair), in fact the ENTIRE staff was attentive, amicable and informative with menu suggestions.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Joseph Ambler Inn. The butternut squash soup and shrimp cocktail appetizers were absolutely delicious. Not to be out done by the scallops and Chilean Seabass entrées which were just out of this world. The butter cake, flan and chocolate ice cream were a perfect ending to an absolutely "top-notch" dinner – kudos to the chef! What really made our dinner fun and even more enjoyable was our awesome server Tina. She had a smile that would light up a room and she kept us entertained all evening long with her phenomenal sense of humor. Thank you for an awesome evening Tina !!!

So get this. Last time we were at Relic we met the Chef at the bar after dinner. I asked if he ever had escargots as a special and he told me to let him know when we’d be back and he’d have escargots for us. When I booked a table next time, I mentioned this in the opentable comments section. When we arrived, the hostess let us know that Chef made escargots for us !!! It was phenomenal and unique. Relic is a gem !!
