Best Historic Restaurants in Salt Lake

We tried Livestock Tavern for the first time tonight, having initially avoided it due to concerns about the safety of the surrounding neighborhood. We were really glad we that we finally went, and totally regret not trying this exceptional restaurant earlier!! The food, drinks, and service were outstanding (even the foodies in our group raved), and we thoroughly enjoyed all the yummy appetizers and the wonderful entrees. The Brussels and Pumpkin app was entirely and enthusiastically eaten, and as far as entrees go, the prime rib, mushroom risotto, crab ravioli, and the steaks all exceeded expectations. (side note the neighborhood is greatly improved compared to a few years ago). We definitely will be back!!!

Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had on the island so far. Lifelong food enthusiast who has traveled all over the world for the best food. This was certainly one of the better meals I’ve ever had, clearly the best on the island so far. The atmosphere is incredibly casual for this level of food. And almost all of the servers were exceptional.

Afternoon tea at the Moana is a memorable experience. We have been dining here for over a decade. It's the highlight of our trip. Aki, is our favorite server there. She goes above and beyond to make your afternoon tea special. The ambiance can't be beat. The banyan tree is a lovely canopy and the sparkling blue water of the ocean is lovely to gaze at. If you enjoy people watching this is the place for you. If you enjoy classical architecture you won't be disappointed. The assortment of tasty finger foods is wonderful. My favorite tea is the creamy coconut. It's like eating a piece of fresh coconut. Perfect place to relax, enjoy the company of others and have delicious treats to savour.

Nora, shout out to you girlie for being such a wonderful waitress. They were kind enough to take my orders for 7 people ahead of time and they made sure the food was piping hot and ready for us to enjoy our lunch. They happened to be closed for a private event but they honored my reservation. The ambiance is amazing and my friends could not stop gushing about how wonderful the food was and how quiet it was. Everything was prompt and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. I have dined here on 3 separate occasions and they never fail to have a happy and satisfied customer. Keep up the good work! So glad you're close to my workplace. 5 stars all around!

I picked this restaurant based on previous reviews, and the request from my group for an outside/al fresco dining experience (hey, it's Hawaii, ya gotta eat outside). Very satisfied, my wife had the Hawaiian burger ("best burger I've ever had"), I had wood-fired mexican pizza, other dishes were enjoyed all around. Highly recommend.
