Best Historic Restaurants in Underwood Hills

Our dinner at Marcel was the best dinner experience I’ve had in 40+ years. The food was excellent but what took it over the top was how hospitable the staff was. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. It was like a family member who wanted to share their food with you. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed just sitting and chatting with ourselves and the staff. They treated everyone like a VIP. I encourage everyone to try Marcel and I’ll gladly recommend it and come back.

9 Mile Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The menu is a delightful blend of creative dishes, each bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. I particularly loved the charred chicken leg which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a symphony of taste! The service was equally outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a great experience. Whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner spot, a place to celebrate a special occasion, or just incredible food, 9 Mile Restaurant is a must-visit. Canoe has become a favorite lunch spot. Civilized dining in a great space. In the nicer weather, we like sitting on “the porch” Great place to bring out of town guests

If I could give this place 5 more stars I would! I have to brag on how great this experience was! My husband and I ate here for lunch after we just got married, and we were not expecting such impeccable service from this restaurant. Our waitress greeted us by our names the entire meal, was very knowledgeable of the menu and history of the restaurant/hotel, and gave outstanding service! The food was delicious all around, champagne choice was perfect, and the manager/staff were beyond gracious to us. This meant so much to us on our big day, especially as an LGBTQ couple. Would highly recommend this establishment to any and everyone from now on. We will definitely be back!
