- JJOHNNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat food and service. Restaurant is beautiful and views of the river are probably great in daylight. In the dark it was a little hard to find but well worth the effort.More infoRed Hat on the RiverPrice: Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Irvington•4.6

Its a cute restaurant, the name suits it. Chairs are simple wood and rather uncomfortable. Ambiance is nice but wouldn't see this as an upscale dining experience. Its rustic, hence the name. The menu is small and interesting, portions pretty small and not a spectacular presentation. As mentioned, i thought the food was good but not spectacular and not sure the price is justified but i guess it's westport. Wine is definitely overpriced. I'll probably be back but not a go-to.More infoThe CottagePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Westport•4.7
- MMariaNew York City •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe were greeted at the door and seated immediately. The ambiance was natural and magically perfect! The food arrived fairly quickly, fresh and tasty. The staff are all friendly and we didn’t feel pressured to leave. The cafe is situated within a beautiful store setting which works great in my opinion. I purchased nice faux candles in the store section before leaving. I can honestly say we had a wonderful time walking around and looking at all the items and plantings they had available before leaving. Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely!!!More infoTerrain Cafe – WestportPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Westport•4.7
- JJudyNew York City •12 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoEverything about the evening was perfect. The half smoked chicken was tender and flavorful with delicious smokiness. The Bronzino was perfectly cooked. The brussels sprouts with pad Thai flavoring was rich and a treat. The smoked trout appetizer was wonderful, and the carrot cake at the end of our meal was spot on perfect. Merry Christmas. One of the best parts of the meal was the Prom Night mocktail. Everybody loved the food and the service staff members were courteous and very helpful. The special seafood soup was outstanding and a dessert. A chocolate soufflé gosh was unbelievable.
