The Belgian Monk opened in December 2000. The main objective was to create something different yet to fit in with the way drinking and dining is changing.     Really enjoyed the mussels for my main course and the Korean chicken wings were a tssty, spice starter. Service was really good, good choice of wines, the Lacon's Legacy ale was in good condition. All in all a very good venue!

    Looking for lovely tasting meats and fresh salad, then this is the place for you. Meats brought to your table and cut there straight to your plate, the salad selection was also delicious. The only minor issue on the night was the fact we had been there two hour's and no chicken heart's were brought out I was plenty full but as this was a Brazilian restaurant and there are known for there chicken heart's it was a shame I didn't get to try one but other than that is was an amazing food night, quite expensive but you get what you pay for here. Quality

    This was our first visit to the lodge. We were really impressed. A lovely big restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of staff about. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and they had good sized portions. A really nice place I am sure we will be back.
