Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train. Caffe Coco at Kauai in Kapaa, Hawaii offers locally sourced ingredients that are built into dishes crafted with love. You can enjoy dinner under the stars in the Waialua area. This restaurant offers delicious and healthy organic cuisine in a backyard setting. All menu items at Caffe Coco can be made vegan, as well as gluten-free. In addition to fantastic food, you can also try a virgin specialty drink or one of many desserts. For a starter, you can try the pumpkin coconut soup, summer rolls with peanut sauce or locally baked garlic toast.     Charlie was our server and did an excellent job. Three in our party have nut allergies and he and the staff were very attentive to that. The food was delicious…Ono as they say here. Several of us had the Blue Marlin. Very good!

    Food and service were very good (as always). We were able to make a dinner reservation till for 5 pm when the restaurant opens. Since several parties have 5 pm reservations there can be a line to be seated which we experienced. Not too bad, but also not great. We were there on a Thursday night when the restaurant also provides food for some Luau attendees. So about 70% of the tables were reserved for those people which limits the availability for other guests. Also between 5:30 and 6:15 there was music for the Luau people. For our next visit we will avoid the Thursday night.
