Chateau-X has quite the story, born out of lockdown, we took a luxurious chateaubriand experience to homes across the UK.Growing our offering throughout lockdown saw demand for us to increase so much, we knew we couldn't stop when life resumed to the 'new normal'.That brings us to today, Chateau-X in Finnieston, our first official restaurant, home to our luxurious Chateaubriand experience, for a reasonable price. Not skipping out on quality either as you might know already, we're vocal about being local. Our mission is simple - bring top quality British sourced meat and produce to our community, with a bit of banter on the side. So, what are you waiting for?See you soon!

It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood. Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. This was our first time dining at their Trongate venue. The whole experience at Charcoals was fantastic. All the food was superb and Ali brought us a few complimentary foods to try and gave us a liqueur to finish. The service was fabulous and we will be returning. I highly recommend a visit.

Staff were incredible with our son’s allergies, very attentive & knowledgeable. Noisy atmosphere but we enjoy that buzz. We will definitely return as dining with teenagers is a challenge and they couldn’t have been any more accommodating.
