Best Healthy Restaurants in Carbondale

Food was amazing as always. Our server, Jao, was incredible.

The food and service is top notch. Our table was not quite ready but there was space at the bar. the bartender made the drinks as expected but also provided guidance on the wines. Once seated the service was equally good. The plates were described well. The waiter offered guidance. The portions are LARGE. The food is prepared expertly. The temperature is appropriate. The flavors are excellent. As one would expect, the truffle menu is sublime. The wine choices are excellent. The wine prices are in line with what one expects in Vail. No complaints whatsoever.

The Spanish Octopus and Iberian Duroc Pork were simply divine. The Whipped Feta was a novelty but at the end of the day, it was just a lump of feta cheese and can be missed. The Sticky Toffee Pudding cake was delicious but a little too sweet for my taste. All of the food were presented beautifully. As for the service, it was prompt and attentive. However, I didn't like the fact that the restaurant added a 3% surcharge to the bill for "staff pay". That seemed cheesy. I would have preferred that 3% to be included in the menu prices instead of a separate line item. Overall, I would still recommend Sweet Basil for special occasions.

The miso cod, seafood udon, and combination sashimi were all excellent. Service was prompt and attentive at early seating (5:00 PM).

It is a fun Italian eatery with reasonable-for-Aspen pricing, excellent food, and attentive, upbeat staff. Lots of laughter and fun. I regularly go when in Aspen. Nice place with post-ski to semi-nice clothing. Hoping for more Vegan options in the future.
