Haikan is our second Sapporo Ramen shop in DC after Daikaya. Haikan means, “pipe works” in Japanese, an ode to Atlantic Plumbing Building where we are located. At Haikan, we focused on creating the taste of ramen from the showa period, the golden age of ramen in Japan. There are over 1000 ramen shops in the city of Sapporo alone, and we are excited to share a completely new line-up of traditional Sapporo style ramen in DC. We did a 14 course vegan tasting menu. The presentation and explanation were interesting and welcoming. Every new plate was an exciting innovation of familiar flavors in ways we had not seen before. Highly recommended to all who enjoy food in all facets, like taste, presentation, and story!

The food here was exceptionally good. Bright bold flavors and exciting menu choices that made me want to order everything. Drinks on point as well. Service very friendly and food came out quickly too. All around checks the boxes. I can't wait to go back, definitely a new favorite/staple.
