- SSusanSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe went to the Marigold club for afternoon tea and all I can say is outstanding. The first thing you see is how beautifully decorated it is and we were seated at a lovely table for two. The wait staff is very attentive. The sandwiches and scones or something I’ve never had and all were very tasty. The toffee scone is simply delicious and is followed by a dish of beautifully decorated little desserts. The tea is different from any tea I’ve ever had in Houston. We will be coming back here for other meals they do have a dinner menu, which we didn’t see but I’m sure it’s just as delicious as everything else. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.More infoThe Marigold ClubPrice: Very Expensive• French• Montrose•4.6
- PPaulVIPHouston •65 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoDining at Amore was a treat. I think my Chilean Sea Bass was the best I have eaten in Houston. My fried artichoke was excellent as usual although the stem was inedible because this is not the best season for artichokes. My wifes regala seafood dish was also very good. The prices are reasonable for white table cloth dining and service was attentive but not intrusive. My only minor complaint was that the music was a bit too loud. I'm not sure why restaurants feel the need for loud music that drowns out conversation. Also, why does an Italian or French or Japanese restaurant see the need to play American pop music. I never returned to one restaurant which served good food because their music was rock played at an ear splitting volume. I will not ever return to one of the new one star Michelin restaurants because they refused to lower the volume of their pop music which was culturally at odds with their cuisine.More infoAMORE Italian RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Italian• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.7
- LLEBAHouston •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLove the food, service and ambiance. But the noise level is such that you have to speak very loudly to your companions, even during lunch. Some padding under the tables might help.More infoRuggles Black -West AlabamaPrice: Expensive• American• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.8
