Best Fun Restaurants in Eastpointe

This was our second time at Bakersfield and it has been great both times. Food is full of flavor and service is friendly. A bit loud for us to talk with our group, but it was right before the crowd was leaving for the Red Wings game, so we should have expected that. We'll be back.

My comment to Dan, our excellent server, was that the food was "mind-blowing". Might sound a bit hyper but it's not. The flavors in each dish were delightful - really interesting and satisfying. We had two menu items and two specials between us, plus a made-in-house ginger beer and a novel (to me) Alpena, MI stout. Perfect. No desserts - we'll do that next time. We went for a late lunch and it was fairly quiet - but the layout and table spacing is such that you'd have a great experience even when it's full. The ambience is nice and the staff are fun. It's right next to the Detroit Institute of Arts and street parking was good - but there are parking structures nearby too. Also, the Q-Line tram goes right by on Woodward Avenue. The menu is so interesting that we have no choice but to go back!

Choose Watermark for our monthly Dinner Club. Overall we had a very nice experience. We ordered chips and salsa as a table app but the salsa is very odd- more like a pasta sauce. It’s very smooth and not much flavor. For our entrees, 3 had the Fish and Chips and the portions were very big. So were the entree salads. The side salads also were very fresh and of ample size. One complaint not addressed was the menu said the perch was sautéed but it was delivered fried. Still tasty but not as it should have been cooked.

White Castle did a great Valentine’s experience that is appropriate for anyone. This location had some nice touches such as soda toasts and goodie bags. The service was great. The staff was all dressed in red. The food was White Castle. This is a great activity for Valentine’s Day.

Wonderful service and great food! There was a party singing Tina Turner, made my day! They were having and sounded wonderful!
