Everything was great but felt like the server was rushing us to leave. We went early on a Friday and no one was in the restaurant but felt like we were being pushed out. The hosts seemed sincere and cheerful wishing her a happy birthday, and that set the tone for the night feeling special. I’ve worked in service, and I know it’s not always easy to be festive on someone else’s behalf when tons of birthdays are celebrated every day, and the kindness of the staff stood out. Sandra took wonderful care of us, comped a dessert for the birthday and made sure we had everything we needed while giving us our time and space to enjoy the meal. We popped in on a Fridau evening before the symphony and enjoyed some of their greatest hits. The pancake was fiercely delicate and a perfect starter for the savory dishes. Our table split the short ribs, the wagyu flank and the fried bird. The last two are MUST ORDER material. Flawless service, considered environment and a serious culinary attitude. Be an Underdog.
