The Hartwood Restaurant enjoys a rich history. The originally the headquarters of the Harmar Coal Company. Purchased in 1988, the building was transformed into retail space, including antiques and a bookstore. Café tables were soon added amongst the book shelves, Over the years, The Hartwood Restaurant has evolved into a charming and unique place for meals, drinks, and events. The elegant dining rooms and a pub featuring hand-tooled woodwork and stained glass artwork.The Hartwood also features outdoor dining in a garden-like atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace. Whisper’s Pub features an eclectic wine list from around the world with more than a dozen different wines by the glass, as well as seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and wine flights. We are a modern restaurant housed in an automotive garage that dates back to the 1940s. During the pre-interstate period of America, people and families often traveled across storied highways such as Route 40, Lincoln Highway or Route 66, encountering regional foods and a variety of cultural influences along the way.In that spirit, our seasonal menu will be a ‘road trip’ that explores some of those mid-western, southern, south-western, and western dishes and techniques.     Book the reservation. One of the best spots in Cranberry. Do not skip the cornbread skillet as a starter. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. I got the grilled fish tacos, complete with delicious rice and beans. We got a Valentines special for dessert, and it was phenomenal like everything else. Service was INCREDIBLE. Nick was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience. We will be back!

    The restaurant was beautiful, the service was quick, the staff were attentive and super friendly, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. I ordered the dry wine flight and ended up purchasing 2 bottles to go. My partner and I had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner and I am certain that I will be back again. Thank you Wine Cave!

    My wife had lobster stuffed lobster and I had filet mignon with lump crab. We both had a salad, artichokes, and cauliflower risotto, and shared a bottle of wine. Everything was perfect. How could it not? Jordan was a great server.

    A warm friendly spot on a grey rainy and dreary evening. Made it for happy hour for cocktails at a good price to start the evening. The jerked chicken was well seasoned, cooked just right and remains one of my favorites. The combination of the chicken, jalapenos, pineapple and greens is fantastic. Something new this time was the Key Lime Tart, which is definitely a keeper.
