Best Vegan Restaurants in Desert Hot Springs

We’ve visited the area for 4-5 weeks for 3 years. We discovered 849 last year and went twice. We just went back last night. That’s 3 visits in the 9 weeks since we first went. Nine weeks because I am only counting the time we are in town. That seems to be a pretty big endorsement. The atmosphere is wonderful and quite attractive. The food is marvelous and the portions are good sized. Service is spot on. Glad we found it and will go back when we visit next year.

I have had lunch here with a friend and loved it, so we decided to go back for dinner. We had a nice meal and good service. Our table was across the fireplace on the patio, making the evening feel very cozy and relaxing. We ordered the vegetarian options for appetizers and entrees. Delicious food!

The food is very interesting and quite tasty. Careful, the cucumbers are very hot/spicy! There were two very nice wines on the Wine by the Glass list, which they were out of. They did comp the substitution which was very nice. The only fault was that our server would disappear and food service was slow. We had to bring our check to the bar to pay. Other than that, we would go back.

We sat at the bar and had great service from the bartenders: friendly, efficient, helpful making suggestions.
