The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. This was hands down, one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The waitress who sang to me for my birthday was gorgeous, friendly, and kind. I wish I had the money to give her a larger tip, but I've vowed to go back and consistently bring people. I am so happy the owner took the risk to open this during COVID-19—superb black and brown space. As a writer and artist, I felt deeply inspired after leaving. It felt like home.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant over the summer and it’s been one of my favorites whenever I come back to NYC to catch up with friends. I love the explosive flavors, delicious cocktails, and the music they played had me bopping my head while eating. Ray was a great waiter checking in to make sure I was enjoying my meal and had everything I needed. I always enjoy my dinners here because the staff is wonderful and gives excellent recommendations.
