A&B Burgers is one of those restaurants, one that has transitioned into a dining scene based around hospitality, creative menus and a space driven by the energy of the bar. Silver Dove is a delightful little place for a traditional high tea with a thoughtfully curated selection of teas and creative touches to the traditional sweet and savory canapés. In addition, Silver Dove offers equally thoughtfully crafted cocktails and mocktails - I don’t drink alcohol anymore and have valiantly been trying mocktails wherever I go, hoping to find some that are not too sweet and more interesting than a couple of juices mixed with club soda. I tried Silver Dove’s Manhattan Transfer, and was stunned. This NA drink had all of the subtleties of flavor and mouthfeel of the very best cocktail. The ingredients were unusual, putting on full display the palate sophistication of the person who created it. We were so pleased with the whole Silver Dove experience. For anyone who might think that high tea would be pretentious or that you’d leave hungry, the easy hospitality of the staff plus the plentiful little open sandwiches and sweet treats guarantees a fun and tasty afternoon.
