Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in West Haven

Mirel was our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and food preparation. He was very friendly and attentive. The appetizers were Delicious. We shared stuffed squash blossoms and fresh melon with prosciutto and burrito. The entrees were served at a perfect temperature. The home made pasta is fabulous. And the home made Tiramisu was great. The view is very nice overlooking the harbor. The bar area is very active. Drinks( Manhattan) and wine were very good.

10/10 this has to be the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food , the live music, the service 10s across the board. I cannot wait to come back

Iron Chef is an excellent restaurant and when we leave we are already planning our return visit. The steaks are perfection. We don’t think you can find a better steak, anywhere.

The Luke Brasserie is a very welcome addition to the New Haven fine dining scene. The restaurant is located next to the Schubert in a historic 2 story gorgeous building. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and were offered complimentary Prosecco while we waited. The staff were all top notch from start to finish. The dishes were all outstanding with the freshest ingredients available, the presentation was worthy of applause to the chef. The flavors of every dish were of the highest quality that were like heaven to the taste buds. Complimentary white asparagus, sorbet with shredded melon and French cookies completed what was an extraordinary experience. The Luke is an absolute must and should not be missed.

L’Orcio is always excellent — very reliable. The only downside, in the icey winter, is parking — but that is on the city of New Haven.
