Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Govans

We celebrated our 40th anniversary. We were very well treated by Dennis, our waiter, he did an exceptional job! The food was delicious. I had the filet and crab cake, and every bite was a moment of joy! Can’t recommend Bluestone enough!!

Our waitress Tola was very attentive and caring. We had another waiter who joked with us because one of our party wanted ALL of the chicken options. When ever the was a new cut of chicken, he would come over, wait for our friend to acknowledge him then cut the chicken. We had a very enjoyable time, laughing, eating and enjoying the ambiance.

Excellently prepared food with a Maryland flavor, plenty of choice from both sea and land. Wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. Dessert is always a highlight, the house made Candy Bar is a favorite.

So glad I discovered this restaurant. Food was excellent with good portions, waiters were very professional, and I loved the ambiance. I will definitely be returning and referring others to this restaurant.

Christmas Day was made very special by Sotto Sopra. From the ambiance of this beautifully decorated 1850 building, to the wonderful staff, each with a smile to greet and serve you. But the food; that was the star of the day! The calamari was exceptional and definitely not you mama's calamari! It's a must have. And the goat cheese salad, amazing! The seafood pasta was loaded with lobster, crab and shrimp, and swirled in a luxurious sauce. The pork shank with risotto was very tasty and very filling. We ordered the the bread pudding and cheesecake to go as we were so full after our meal, and will have it this morning with our coffee. I just know both will be a great start to the day. Thanks to Sotto Sopra for making our Christmas day so special.
