Her entree of Waygu steak was very tender and flavorful. My scallops were excellent. Our waitress remembered us from previous visits and was friendly and knowledgeable of all the options on the menu. When the bar did not have the whiskey I requested they suggested a replacement that was a perfect substitute. The service , atmosphere and food were impeccable. We got to take anything we didn’t eat home, and their champagne was delicious! We had a perfect night, and all of the staff was amazing to us. We had crab cakes-moist, deliciously flavorful; Asian Pear salad; lamb chops (juicy, tender, seasoned to perfection, duck, salmon and scallops. We were a party of 4. As far as I am concerned it is the only high-end dining place in Davis worthy of the name. On my last visit I was accompanied by a couple of friends who enjoyed it to the utmost. Although they are Japanese food lovers this was a new and marvelous experience for them.
