Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Condesa / Roma

Lovely atmosphere and exemplary service, but this didn’t feel like a unique experience— it felt like a nice dinner you could have in SF or New York or LA

Casa Virginia is my new favorite restaurant in Mexico. The calming and stunning interior immediately transports you to the beginning of the last century and makes for an oasis in a loud and bustling city. Every member of staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. And the food! The food is mouthwatering and full of flavor, and it speaks to the eyes and well as to the stomach. I enjoyed a range of delights from tender sea bass to the most scrumptious asparagus and beyond, and my only disappointment was that I had no room for dessert. I’ll be sure to visit Casa Virginia at least once on every trip to Mexico City and I would urge you to do the same and enjoy the culinary magic of Mónica Patiño. The quality of the beef is exceptional, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend their signature cuts, especially the ribeye, which is tender and succulent. Pair it with one of their house-made salsas for an explosion of flavor. Don't skip the appetizers! The guacamole, prepared fresh at your table, is a must-try, as is the charred octopus, which is both tender and deliciously seasoned. For drink lovers, the cocktail menu is equally impressive, featuring creative margaritas and refreshing beverages. Overall, Sonora Grill is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Mexico City. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out with friends, this restaurant promises an exquisite blend of taste and ambiance. Highly recommended!

A nice neighborhood find in Roma Norte. Very interesting fusion of Mexican and asian flavors and textures. A nice surprise, indeed. Attentive and friendly staff. Pozole dumplings... quite the surprise. Yum!

The best service so far in Mexico City. Manuel was very attentive and well informed when I asked about the menu and drinks. A must while in Roma or Condesa.
