- PparisaManchester/Greater Manchester •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMe and my husband often do tasting menus and have been to a few Michelin star restaurants and I have to say this is probably the best one we've ever been to. The food was amazing, varied and of course full of flavour (we had the plant based menu which we often find has more effort into the flavourings). We had wine pairing which I'm often unsure of, as I feel rushed. This experience was not like that, the wine amount is just right, sommelier lovely and knowledgeable and it pairs perfectly. What I also have to say is, although it's Michelin star, it doesn't have the pretentiousness that often comes with it. The service was brilliant, friendly and the dishes come out on respectable plates which is all about the food and not the plate if that's makes sense! I never submit reviews but I really had to say this is a must go if you're into Michelin tasting menus and are vegan!More infoSimpsonsPrice: Very Expensive• Modern European• Edgbaston•4.7

- CCurranLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined on 19 Nov 2021Excellent service. Very personable service from receptionist and from restaurant Nafiza who was efficient and friendly. Food was superb, fresh and cooked beautifully. The restaurant and bar and other facilities are superb. However the reason for 3 stars for ambience is the restaurant lighting was too bright and there should be some background music. The conversation of others was very audible. Low level music does help mask conversations and more so forces people to talk quieter. The lighting didn’t help as it was on full brightness level so it’s wasn't relaxed and other guests thought they were at home and were talking very loud. I hope this can be remedied as this is very minor suggestion but will transform the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.More infoThree Church Road at St George's PlacePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Edgbaston•4.2
