Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

We had 6p reservations for our 50th anniversary dinner and arrived early.. we decided to get a drink at the bar ( which was full and busy) took along time to be noticed by the busy bartenders and finally just before our dinner time got noticed and ordered our drinks. We were lead by our hostess June to a cosy booth and the table was decorated for our celebration dinner. We then were greeted by our server Sonya who was fun, efficient and attentive.. she and the “biscuit man”made our dinner even more enjoyable! Our first bite was the delicious tempura fins wing… this was followed by our entrees the Scalibut a GW Fins original .. this was superb!! And for my husband the American Red Fish, he wanted to lick his plate and my tasting bite made me envious even though my dish was so good! We finished our meal with the Salty Malty ice cream dessert.. we did lick the plate !! Best ever dessert!! And chef sent out two chocolate treats on a decorated plate!! All our choices were guided expertly by Sonja our knowledgeable and entertaining server! All in all it was a delightful celebration at an exceptional restaurant!!💕

One of our favorite places to eat! Stone crabs were in season and that was also a treat! The steaks came out a bit early but they assisted us with warming them to perfection without overcooking them! The atmosphere was festive for the holidays and although we ate at a high top in the bar, it wasn’t a disappointment at all! The pianist played while we were there and overall made for a great evening!
