Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past. We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening. Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve revelled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour. Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion. Our recent visit on Christmas Eve, to celebrate a special celebration, was nothing short of extraordinary. We extend our gratitude to every individual who contributed to the impeccable service that evening. From the thoughtful seating arrangement overlooking a vibrant display of fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and fruits to the attentive service that paired our meal with a delightful bottle of Petit Chablis Blanc, every detail was expertly curated. The evening culminated in a celebratory dessert of Greek yogurt, elegantly garnished with pomegranate seeds and mint—a perfect ending to a remarkable experience. Our meal began with house-made bread and olive oil, complemented by a refreshing tomato salad as an appetizer. For the main course, we enjoyed expertly grilled Balada fish accompanied by steamed broccoli and succulent lamb chops. The server’s meticulous walkthrough of the fresh seafood selection, artfully presented on ice, added an engaging touch, highlighting the restaurant’s dedication to authentic Greek cuisine. This establishment comes highly recommended, and we eagerly anticipate returning with friends in the near future. Notably, their thoughtfully crafted business lunch menu, designed to be served within an hour, is a perfect option for professionals working on Bay Street. A truly exceptional experience!

Incredible service! I chose this place to propose to my now fiance, since it has such a beautiful booth. Heart (If I stand correctly) was a great host and made sure everything was just as planned. I brought a dessert with the ring in it for them to bring out, and they took amazing care of it. We went for brunch and had the pancakes and omelette, they were amazing! Very impressed by the service, personal care and hospitality from all the staff.

Absolutely incredible restaurant. The ambiance feels like you stumbled onto something off the beaten path. It feels like fine dining but the pricing is very reasonable - so this is somewhere you could go to celebrate a special occasion or just meet up for a nice weekday dinner with friends. The food is also incredible, we tried the duck gnocchi and the Bronzino which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has classic meals with a slight twist making each dish feel unique and special but also still approachable. The service was very friendly and efficient. Our waitress balanced that line of interrupting conversation to serve us while also giving us plenty of space. It was a wonderful experience. They also provide complimentary coat check so your coat isn’t handing on the back of your chair. This and other similar small details made for a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend, I will certainly be going back.
