- JJennifervipSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe have patronized a bunch of the known popular venues and this is the best of all the big resort competitors. (Better than Bdown’s beach house, Meridia, CanoeHouse) Local chef, a local menu that is truly farm to table, and a wonderful atmosphere. We had a kabob with shrimp, steak and ahi with a beautiful presentation. We enjoyed two salads (beet was so good, it is easily enough to share) A lovely offering of sides, including a baked seasoned pumpkin which was delightful. Totally solid for kids, steak and mash was perfect and the pineapple and strawberry sorbet was a great finish. Chef/Owner came out and greeted us. We may go again tomorrow for their “happy hour, french dip”More infoFORCPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kamuela•4.4
- ELEdwLHouston •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy wife and I went here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I requested a nice table, if available, and Meridia did not disappoint. We had a great table (and view as the sun was setting) and had an incredible waitress, Elizabeth. She made the whole evening even more special… thank you E!More infoMeridiaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Kohala Coast•4.6
- KKevinSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoCanoe House has been one of our favorites on the Island for several years. It is a perfect location for sunset dinners and an outstanding dining experience. Again, they did not disappoint. Highlights were perfectly done filet, swordfish and kampachi with garlic fried rice as a side. Wonderful flavors, well balanced, and perfect portions. Starters were corn ribs (a favorite ) and snap peas with goat cheese. Prices are at the higher end, but the value is spot on. We always try and eat here once during our trips to the island.More infoCanoeHousePrice: Very Expensive• Creative Japanese• Kamuela•4.7
- AAllisonvipSan Diego •9 reviews5.0Dined on 19 Nov 2024The ambiance and setting could not be more picturesque. The food was incredible with flavor. Mediterranean inspired, selections are intended to be shared family style. We had the bread balloon, with a side order of the spicy aioli (pretty mild spice), zucchini chips w tzatziki, ahi steak with orzo, ali’i mushrooms and the broccolini which were grilled and made with lemon juice, garlic and crushed red peppers. Zucchini chips are a must if you’re trying to satisfy your savory palate and the seared ahi steak will melt in your mouth. Service and hospitality were outstanding from the valet to the host stand to the servers. My water glass was never empty! Also, there is live music every Monday! The artist was incredibly musically gifted, his acoustic talent was evident. The open air/face restaurant allows the stunning view of Hawaii and the sunset is a short walk from the restaurant to the beach shore front. Looking for romance and delectable food choices? - CchrisvipNew York City •22 reviews5.0Dined on 12 Nov 2024The property is beautiful and so expensive. The Restaurant vibe couldn’t be more beautiful. You walk down the path and see the manta rays feeding. The staff is relaxed, but still attentive and very friendly. The menu was more innovative than other restaurants I’ve seen on the island.More infoManta at Mauna KeaPrice: Very Expensive• Pacific Rim• Kohala Coast•4.6
